Amazon has again stepped a way forward in the market of home deliveries by getting your packages home delivered even when you are not at home.Right from free delivery, prime delivery, drone delivery....Amazon has now come up with a service called Amazon key which will eliminate the need for you to even be at home to receive your courier packages.In short Amazon courier will enter your locked doors for completing the deliveries.It might sound frightful but the whole process will be very much secured.

Amazon key will be Prime member service only in which there will be a smart lock and a cloud connected camera.The smart locks will be available on Amazon from two brands -Kwikset and Yale. And the camera will be a Amazon cloud cam.This all set will come bundled once you opt for this Amazon key service with the proper installation too by the professionals.

How will the amazon key delivery work?

Just the day your delivery is due to arrive,the customer will get a notification from the Amazon key app of the time window when the courier will arrive.Customers will be notified even before when the courier is about to arrive.As per the protocol maintained by Amazon the courier boy will knock the door first then it will try to unlock the door.

The unlocking process will consists of a series of process where the courier-boy will scan the package's bar-code which in turn will send an access request to Amazon Cloud.When the permission is granted the Amazon camera will start recording instantly,then the courier-boy will just swipe a prompt on their device to get the door unlocked.

The package will be left just there and the door will be locked again.The customer will get the online notification of the delivered package with a recorded video of the whole process.The whole process will be monitored and kept in repository at Amazon.

Amazon key-Other uses

Amazon might have designed this whole services for its most efficient and hassle-free delivery but this service can have other benefits too.For example you can share this amazon key with your maid,house keeper or with your guests too. But that means spending extra bucks on this services. Even amazon camera will be one of its kind where it can perform variety of services like responding to voice command ,having a night vision and a two way audio system,etc.

These services will be available from Nov 8 of this year in 37 selected cities of America.

Now you don't have to worry for the delivery even when you are outside,no more packages being kept idle outside and not even a threat of your package being stolen.

Some question like :Will the consumers put their trust in Amazon and allow strangers to come inside their house?
